Supporting Materials and Documents
The Humanities Roadmap is a document designed to help guide students through their General Education requirements during their time at MassArt. I was tasked with creating something that would be easy for both existing and prospective students to understand, while still remaining appealing to the eye. To achieve this, I utilized clear hierarchy, clean text, appealing colors, and created many different icons. I designed three different sizes of the roadmap: 8.5 in x 11 in, 11 in x 17 in, and 18 in x 24 in.
The Learning Outcomes is a document similar to the Roadmap, but is a bit more department-specific. Courses within the Humanities department follow the set of outcomes seen in the design, each with its own associated color and image.
To advertise events, the department tasked me with creating posters. To maintain consistency within the branding system I created, I created countless icons. These icons were utilized across the posters and changed based on the topic of the event or season/time of year.
Hellerstein Lecture Series
The Hellerstein Literary Reading & Lecture Series at MassArt made a return for the first time after COVID. I was tasked with creating promotional posters, social media posts, and digital banners for the event. For this event, the themes of community and legacies were explored. Ekua Holmes's beautiful collage work inspired the design direction with the cut-out figures and paper textures. Combining these themes and design direction, I came up with the idea of the looping string. While it acts as a design element, it also carries the symbolism of the connecting legacies which serves as the focal point for the event.
