Artbit

Creative blocks affect every single artist in the world. For art students specifically, creative blocks are a huge hindrance to learning and progression. To rectify this, I created the habit-creating app, Artbit, to combat the dreaded creative block. It's easy to navigate through and use to lessen frustration that may be at a higher level during a creative block.

Artbit encourages artists of all backgrounds to complete a daily prompt based on
their artistic backgrounds (ranging from photographer to designer to painter) to
work through or combat a creative block.

Aside from the daily prompt, there is a section dedicated to prompts that artists can use if they want to do more than just the single daily prompt. This exact feature is the core of the app. Instead of stopping art all together, Artbit encourages artists of all backgrounds to push through the block and keep creating.

The overall vibe of Artbit is open and friendly with a vibrant color palette catered to a young artist’s eye. Blue in the palette acts as a soother to frustration, while the hot pink and lime green act as an inspiring motivator to get the creative juices flowing.

The app itself lives in Figma and is mostly prototyped. It was fully completed in March of 2023.
